READS Collaborative in Middleboro, MA is seeking a Special Education Teacher to teach Humanities (ELA/Social Studies) to grades 9-12 at READS Academy, a MA DESE approved public day school. The role emphasizes serving students with neuro-behavioral and emotional needs in a structured, therapeutic setting.

Salary ranges with a comprehensive benefits package; full-time, in-person position located at 44 Bedford Street, Middleboro.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license appropriate to the grade level and assignment or eligibility for a waiver.
• Strong knowledge of high school students with social-emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health needs.
• Effective classroom management and positive behavioral support skills.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core standards.
• Ability to differentiate and modify curriculum for diverse learners.
• Experience with development and monitoring of IEPs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to attend Crisis Prevention Institute training (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention).

Responsibilities

• Teach Humanities (ELA/Social Studies) to grades 9-12.
• Work with students with neuro-behavioral and emotional disabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support student needs.
• Implement individualized education plans and adaptations.
• Engage families and school staff to support student growth.
