Position Details

• Salary: $68,000-$102,000 + subject matter enhancement up to $2,000
• FLSA Status: Exempt
• Pay Cycle: 11 months

Position Summary

As a special education teacher at ICEF, you will work alongside dedicated professionals to develop effective programs for students with disabilities, ensuring inclusive and equitable access to education. We emphasize collaboration, compliance, and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

1. Teach and inspire students to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
2. Implement individualized education programs (IEPs), accommodations, and modifications.
3. Utilize diverse instructional methodologies to meet individual learning needs.
4. Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
5. Collaborate with a team of educators, psychologists, and service providers.
6. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on student performance.
7. Communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders.
8. Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
• Valid California teaching credential for special education (e.g., Preliminary or Clear Education Specialist Credential)
• Desirable: BCLAD, CLAD, Bilingual Certificate of Competence, or LDS certificate; EL Authorization
• Experience working with students from underserved urban communities
• Ability to manage student behavior confidently

Additional Requirements

• Valid California Driver’s License
• Proof of TB, DOJ, and FBI clearances
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between sites
