Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher(s) in preparation of student work, workstations, and classroom displays.
• Assist with instructional activities under the direction of the special education team leader.
• Liaison between regular education and special education teachers on IEP modifications.
• Adjust on-the-spot instruction and provide daily feedback to teachers on student progress.
• Assist students with physical disabilities, including transfers and positioning as needed.
• Support during lunch, bus duty, and playground to supervise students.
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Follow Plano ISD rules and attendance policies; participate in staff trainings.
