Job summary

Fairfield City School District is seeking an Educational Assistant (full-time) for Fairfield High School. The role supports students with special needs, assists in general education settings, and follows an IEP under the supervision of the special education teacher.

The position offers a daytime schedule with summers and holidays off, and starts at an hourly rate of $17.37 or higher, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, disability and vision insurance, and retirement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW). The HR office can assist you with the short application process.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the special education teacher or designee, assists in the supervision, care and instruction of students in grades 10-12 on an IEP.
• Accompanies students with disabilities into general education settings and/or resource room settings and assists with tasks.
• One position available - 7 hours per day.
