Seaside School District 10 in Seaside, Oregon seeks a High School Special Education Teacher for a 1.0 FTE position. The role involves providing services in self-contained classrooms and in general education settings, instructing students, and maintaining progress toward IEP goals.

The ideal candidate holds an Oregon Special Education endorsement and collaborates with families and staff to support student achievement, while adhering to trauma-informed practices and SEL approaches.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Oregon Teaching Certification with Special Education endorsement.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with students, staff, and parents through an equitable and trauma informed lens.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement specially designed instruction for students in areas of assessed need, including life skills.
• Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
• Monitor student progress regularly and provide written reports of progress toward IEP goals to parents in accordance with the District’s schedule.
• Collaborate and cooperate with parents and staff members in developing and implementing IEPs.
• Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents/guardians, staff, administrators and relevant community support personnel concerning academic and social/emotional/behavioral progress.
• Serve as case manager for students eligible for special education and related services.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
