Job summary

York Community High School seeks a dynamic High School Special Education teacher for anticipated leave coverage. The position is a long-term substitute with a focus on co-taught instruction and equity-centered pedagogy.

Licensed staff with LBS1 endorsement and DuPage County registration are required; tentative dates run Oct 7–Nov 4, 2026, with a Monday–Friday schedule at York Community High School.

Qualifications

• An ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons and strong collaborative skills are required.
• Strong familiarity with Professional Learning Communities and data-based decision-making is preferred.
• Experience co-teaching is preferred.
• Experience with case management is preferred.
