Job summary

Sutton Public Schools' Sutton Memorial High School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for grades 9-12. The role involves planning, organizing, and delivering instruction within established curriculum guidelines to support students’ academic growth and daily living skills.

You will collaborate with the principal, special education director, teachers, and families to develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and adjust instruction to meet individual goals in a inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education.
• Massachusetts DESE licensure for Special Education (5-12) or eligible.
• Experience with IEP processes and developmental testing.
• Ability to collaborate with parents, staff, and administrators.
• Knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks and de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement instructional programs for grades 6-12.
• Develop and monitor IEP goals and progress.
• Administer assessments and document student progress.
• Communicate with parents about student progress.
• Maintain compliant records and reports.
