Job summary

Farmington Public Schools is seeking a Special Service Paraprofessional at Farmington High School (Grades 9-12) for a 6.5-hour day during the school year. The role includes personal care, classroom support, and assisting with instructional activities under supervision.

The position offers 8 holidays, 12 sick days, 3 personal days, and benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, LTD, and a 401a plan. Salary ranges per FPSEU contract: $24.90–$29.11 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years of college diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to develop and maintain rapport with students and work well with teachers.
• Ability to follow directions in oral and written form; prior experience with school-age children is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction by circulating in classroom and modifying materials.
• Assist students with technology and testing/assessments.
• Document data: observe, record progress, take notes, and track attendance.
• Provide personal care/hygiene support and assist with medicine regimens.
