• Prepares for classes assigned and shows evidence of lesson preparation upon request of the building administrator(s).
• Diagnoses individual, group, and program needs and plans for the appropriate use of time, materials, and resources to match the ability and needs of all students.
• Evaluates students' progress; provides students with prompt specific evaluative feedback, maintains appropriate records and prepares progress reports.

Our Teachers develop and implement instructional programs that effectively provide the best possible education for each and every student. This role provides teaching and/or training services to students in various capacities including general instruction and specialized subjects.

Essential Job Functions:

• Demonstrates an understanding of curriculum, subject, and current instructional practices.
• Creates learning experiences that make the subject matter meaningful for all students.

Education and Experience:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to obtain appropriate license(s) and/or endorsement(s) as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia and School Board
• An acceptable rating of prior teaching experience, as applicable.

Preferred

• Currently possesses a Virginia Collegiate Professional or Postgraduate Professional License within a specific endorsement area(s)
• Prior teaching experience within a public school system

Employment Terms: Employment may be offered as a 10-Month (200 Day)contract, at a minimum of 7.5 hours worked per day. This position is evaluated annually.Additional compensation awarded for credits earned toward advanced degrees.
