Job summary

Diamond Middle School in Lexington, Massachusetts is seeking a 1.0 FTE Long-Term Substitute Spanish Teacher to cover a leave from approximately November 18, 2026 to March 2, 2027. The position is non-benefits eligible and at-will, with per diem pay for days worked.

The teacher will deliver Spanish instruction, plan lessons, maintain a productive classroom, and communicate with families under the supervision of the Building Principal and/ or Department Head.

Qualifications

• Appropriate licensure in the subject and at the grade level posted strongly preferred.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and possess a high level of capability with technology.

Responsibilities

• Instructs Spanish students during class times.
• Plans lesson programs meeting student needs.
• Maintains classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Prepares for classes and documents progress.
• Communicates with parents about pupil progress.
• Assists with curriculum and department goals.
• Performs duties as assigned.
