Job summary

Northwest Christian Schools in Colbert, WA is seeking a High School JV Softball Coach to support the head coach and contribute to player development, team operations, and program excellence. The role models professional conduct and coaches with biblically based principles.

You'll work with the head coach on responsibilities, lead practices, ensure safety, and mentor players while maintaining positive relationships with families.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience and proven ability to teach and motivate athletes.
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Affirmation of Christian faith and church involvement per school's Statement of Faith.
• Strong interpersonal communication with students, faculty, staff, and community.
• Coaching knowledge, motivation, strategies, and ability to supervise assistants/volunteers.
• Organized and able to monitor multiple athletes and activities.

Responsibilities

• Support head coach in developing spiritual, athletic, and academic goals.
• Provide positive communication with coaches, players, and parents.
• Track, maintain and store inventory and equipment with head coach.
• Ensure safety during practices and games; handle injuries appropriately.
• Provide locker room and bus supervision for athletes.
