Job summary

Northwest Christian Schools is seeking an Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in all aspects of the athletic program, contributing to player development, team operations, and overall program excellence. This role models professional conduct, demonstrates strong coaching expertise, and actively participates in program leadership to uphold the mission and standards of Northwest Christian.

Compensation includes a stipend of $1,000 to $1,200 dependent on experience, with requirements including

Qualifications

Prior coaching experience and proven ability to teach and motivate athletes.
Possess a First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
Model a life of personal commitment to Jesus Christ and affirm the School's faith.
Strong interpersonal communication with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
Coaching expertise, knowledge of sport, motivation, strategies, and supervision of assistants.
Organized and able to monitor multiple student-athletes and activities.

Responsibilities

Develop a firm foundation for the program through Biblically based Enduring Understandings and Essential Questions.
Foster unity of purpose between all program coaches.
Foster high-caliber instruction and mentoring of players.
Maintain positive relationships with players and parents.
Provide locker room and bus supervision and ensure athlete safety.
Work with head coach on specific team roles and goals.
Track and store inventory and equipment.
