Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or eligible for Educator License with Stipulations (ESL) Endorsement
• Licensure: Valid Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) for grades 9-12
• Endorsement options include: Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology & Anthropology
• Desired: Master's or Doctorate; prior high school teaching experience; ESL/Bilingual certification; Special Education Endorsement (LBS1)

Responsibilities

• Teach to prescribed outcomes and goals to lead to positive student outcomes
• Use standards-based learning and gradual release of responsibility instructional model
• Differentiate instruction and differentiate for diverse learners; use instructional technology
• Communicate with parents, students, counselors, and support staff; document in SIS
