BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid Missouri teaching certificate in Social Studies Teacher grade 9-12
• Master’s Degree Preferred
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning, appropriate to the maturity, interests, and abilities of students.
• Guide the learning process toward achieving established District curriculum goals, and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media.
• Assess student accomplishments regularly, provide progress reports as required, and communicate with parents as deemed necessary.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, District policy, and regulations.
• Develop a classroom code of conduct consistent with the District’s Discipline Code and enforce classroom rules fairly and justly.
• Maintain good attendance.
