Job summary

Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana's Excel Center is seeking a full-time Social-Emotional Learning Assistant at Indianapolis Metropolitan High School. You will respond to staff radio requests, supervise students, and support teachers in grades 9–12 within a trauma-informed, restorative framework.

This role emphasizes SEL skill-building, positive behavior support, and collaboration with a robust student services team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with students in an educational setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with SEL, trauma-informed practices, and restorative approaches is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to staff radio calls to support students.
• Supervise students in classrooms and common areas as needed.
• Assist teachers and follow lesson plans in a trauma-informed, restorative framework.
• Support school-wide SEL initiatives and behaviors with consistency.
