Prep Academy Tutors is hiring high school science teachers and tutors to empower students using the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. We seek energetic educators who love teaching, strive for student success, and are committed to excellence.

In-home tutoring is offered with flexible hours and ongoing professional development. Qualified candidates include those with NC licensure or on-path to licensure, and candidates pursuing a Bachelor of Education or educator preparation program.

Qualifications

• Current, valid North Carolina Professional Educator's License issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
• Qualified teacher in the United States or in the process of becoming one.
• Bachelor of Education or an approved educator preparation program.
• Experience as lecturer or course instructor at a U.S. or Canadian university.
• Knowledgeable about high school science.
• Located in North Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek, Leesville.

Responsibilities

• Empower students with academic support based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
• Develop customized learning plans that help students truly understand the material, not just memorize it.
• Offer remedial and enrichment opportunities to help students who need extra support or a challenge to stretch them further.
• Collaborate with parents to keep them in the loop on progress, struggles, and successes.
