Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
• Competency in the core academic subject area assigned
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum requirements.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials suitable for diverse learners.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Set instructional goals and methods consistent with district policies.
• Assign work to instructional aides and volunteers and monitor progress.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement and adjust teaching approaches.
• Sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned by campus principal.
• Be a positive role model and support the school mission.
• Create a learning environment conducive to student development.
• Manage student behavior per the Student Code of Conduct.
• Protect students, equipment, and facilities and ensure safety.
• Assist in selecting books and instructional materials.
• Maintain records and required documentation.
