Qualifications

  • A completed credential file meeting TPS standards.
  • Professional verification of successful classroom teaching or student teaching.
  • Willingness to comply with State Board of Education standards.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches general science, earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and physiology concepts.
  • Plans and delivers a science program with demonstrations, lectures, and labs.
  • Organizes laboratory activities for optimal learning.
  • Instructs on safe handling of chemicals, equipment, and life.
  • Implements district curriculum and data-informed instruction.
  • Develops lesson plans and uses varied assessment data to guide decisions.
