Job Description

Qualifications:

The High School Science Teacher is a state-certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, monitor student progress via Stride K12’s learning management system, and work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to meet educational goals. This position is primarily remote but requires occasional travel for school functions such as state testing.

Position Details

• School year 2025/2026
• Full-time, typically 40+ hours per week
• Work from home with occasional travel

Essential Functions

1. Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
2. Personalize learning for all students
3. Differentiate instruction based on student mastery
4. Maintain accurate grade records and communicate with families
5. Prepare students for standardized tests
6. Travel approximately once per month for professional development and testing

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license with High School Science endorsement
• Ability to pass background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with online teaching and supporting technology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to analyze student data to inform instruction
