Job summary

Western New York Maritime Charter School is seeking a highly prepared teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in a military-style, high-accountability setting. The role requires owning the classroom, enforcing routines, and delivering structured instruction aligned to NYS science standards.

The ideal candidate holds NYS Earth Science/Earth and Space Science 7-12 certification, NYSED fingerprint clearance, and demonstrates data-driven instruction and strong communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Certification for Earth Science 7-12 or equivalent.
• NYSED Fingerprint Clearance.
• Strong working knowledge of NYS Science Standards (MTSS-I).

• Deliver tight, well-structured instruction aligned to NYS standards.
• Execute clear routines and procedures daily, no inconsistencies.
• Maintain a classroom where students are on task, expectations are visible and enforced, disruptions addressed.
