Primary Purpose:
The High School Principal serves as the instructional leader and chief culture builder of the campus. The principal ensures high levels of student achievement through aligned curriculum implementation, strong instructional systems, strategic talent management, and a safe, student-centered learning environment.
The principal leads continuous improvement aligned to the Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System (T-PESS), district strategic goals, and the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP). The role requires building collective efficacy, fostering a culture of high expectations, and ensuring equitable outcomes for all students.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master’s degree in Educational Administration or related field Valid Texas Principal or Mid-Management Certification Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) or Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) certification Satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check; non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee
Required Experience:
Three (3) years’ teaching experience
Three (3) years’ experience as an assistant principal and/or associate principal. (High school preferred)
