Job summary

Fort Bend ISD seeks a Principal to define the vision and mission of the school, provide strong educational leadership to ensure high standards of instruction; ensure compliance with FBISD district policies and perform related district-wide administrative duties as required and/or assigned.

The Principal will develop, review, revise, and continuously update the Campus Improvement Plan with the Campus Based Leadership Team, communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and administrators,

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification valid.
• AEL/ILD/ILT certification or equivalent within 3 months of start date.
• T-TESS certification or equivalent within 3 months.
• At least 3 years admin experience (AP/associate principal/dean).
• At least 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
• Demonstrates strong ethics and leadership passion.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and campus management.
• Develop and update the Campus Improvement Plan annually with the leadership team.
• Understand state and federal accountability systems.
• Implement RTI expectations for staff, parents, and students.
• Direct campus staff development initiatives.
• Oversee discipline management and school climate.
• Analyze data to address school and community needs.
• Interview, select, evaluate, and grow high-quality staff.
• Manage expenditures and report financial information.
• Coordinate facilities and campus operations.
• Supervise faculty and staff; hire, train, appraise, and discipline as needed.
