Job summary

Bath County High School in Owingsville, KY seeks a Principal to lead all facets of the school’s operations, safety, and instruction. The principal reports to the Superintendent and collaborates with the SBDM council and staff to raise student achievement.

Qualifications

• Kentucky Certificate for Principals is required.
• Additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Highly values leadership and school improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of school operations including personnel, finances, curriculum, safety and records.
• Lead the SBDM council and staff to develop policies to raise student achievement.
• Develop and implement a school program aligned with district and state goals.
• Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline per policy and law.
• Ensure effective communication with families and the community; manage school safety plans.
• Prepare reports and participate in required trainings and professional development.
