Job summary

The Oxnard Union High School District in Ventura County seeks a Principal for a full-time, on-site campus in Port Hueneme, CA. You will provide instructional leadership, oversee curriculum, and guide school improvement with a focus on equity and student success.

You will coach teachers, manage scheduling, safety procedures, and compliance with district policies while building strong partnerships with students, families, staff, and community partners to support the district’s mission.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated instructional leadership skills, including curriculum oversight, data-informed decision-making, and support for diverse learners.
• Experience in staff supervision and development, including coaching, evaluation, conflict resolution, and team building.
• Strong organizational and operational management abilities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and campus safety planning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with students, families, educators, and community partners.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices that support students from diverse backgrounds.
• Relevant administrative experience in K-12 education, preferably at the secondary level.
• Valid California administrative credential (or eligibility) and appropriate teaching credential.
• Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to use technology tools and data systems to support instruction, communication, and school management.
• Knowledge of California education policies, accountability systems, and special programs is beneficial.
