Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools in Tennessee seeks a dedicated science teacher to deliver a standards-based curriculum across its K–12 college-preparatory charter network. You will design weekly lessons, analyze data, and create interventions to boost scholar achievement.

You will integrate technology, work in a co-teaching setting for students with IEPs, meet families, and participate in weekly professional development. A Tennessee science license and a bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• Holds a current TN teaching license in Science with appropriate endorsement codes (Required).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Proven track record of academic success as evident in TVAAS, state assessments and value-add data (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Creating lesson plans.
• Teaching scholars a common core based curriculum.
• Integrating technology into lessons and plans.
• Motivating scholars towards achievement.
• Meeting with parents regarding performance and conduct.
• Developing scholar improvement plans.
• Working with special educators in a co-teaching model for students with IEP plans.
• Work planning with school and network teams.
• Attending weekly required professional development training.
• Create and review student assessments.
• Tutoring students/other duties as assigned.
