Job summary

Berrien Springs Public Schools Board of Education is seeking an on-site paraprofessional to foster learning for all students at the center. You will report to the Center Director and support classrooms, enrollment, and family engagement activities.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and computer skills, with duties spanning progress tracking, stakeholder communication, and event participation. Extended evening or summer hours may be available.

Qualifications

• Motivate all students to be successful in coursework.
• Provide great customer service to students, families, and guests.
• Excellent speaking and grammar skills, proofreading, oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete weekly progress and metric reports.
• Maintain student record logs to document weekly contact.
• Conduct two-way communication with students.
• Communicate with stakeholders professionally.
• Assist with clerical and center-specific tasks.
• Support student academic behavior plans and interventions.
• Assist with student enrollment and orientations.
• Collaborate with teammates to provide resources for learning.
• Monitor and use student data to drive improvements.
• Plan and participate in center events (State Testing, Count Day, Family Engagement Day).
• Attend professional development sessions and stay current with trends.
