Gathering Waters Chartered Public School in Keene, NH is seeking a dedicated High School Paraeducator/Assistant Teacher to support students with IEPs and 504 plans. You will tutor in math and language arts, follow individual plans, and assist with classroom management to promote an inclusive learning environment.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, three years of paraprofessional experience, and willingness to obtain NH Paraeducator Certification.

Department: Student Support
Reports to: Faculty and Special Education Teachers
The Paraeducator supports the Faculty and Special Education Teachers. Specifically, the Paraeducator will provide learning support to those students with IEPs and 504s. Responsibilities include interacting closely with individual and small groups of students, tutoring students in high school math and English/language arts skills, and following student IEPs and 504 plans.
Support individual student IEPs and/or 504 plans as directed by the Special Education Teachers
IEP Academic Support in grade-level high school classes
Title I: Lead individual and small group tutoring sessions in math and English/language arts
Assist the Lead Teachers in classroom management
Support students in their development of executive functioning skills
Transition the students between classes and to dismissal
Participate in weekly or every other week meeting with Special Education Teachers and Class Teaches
Perform other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university preferred
Experience working with children with IEPs a must
Paraprofessional or Assistant Teaching: 3 years
Previous teaching experience in a Waldorf school preferred
CPR/First aid training certificate or willingness to complete
Holds (or is willing to obtain) a New Hampshire Paraeducator Certification
