Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) certification for New Hampshire is required.
• Previous experience working as an OT in a school environment is highly desirable.
• Adept at collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches for a diverse student population.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to high school students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Assess students to determine therapy needs in fine motor, sensory processing, and functional life skills.
• Keep thorough documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with IEP teams and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings, serving as a valuable resource for intervention strategies and accommodation recommendations.
• Provide guidance to school staff on how to integrate OT-related strategies within the classroom.
