Job summary

King Philip Regional High School is seeking a Musical Technical Director on a stipend basis. The role supports the district’s theater program by guiding scenic, lighting, audio, and prop design for the HS Spring Musical.

You will train students in scenery construction, prop creation, and the operation of lighting and audio consoles. The ideal candidate has at least five years of practical technical theater experience and may hold related coursework or a degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years practical technical theater experience.
• Technical theater coursework or a degree preferred.
• Ability to guide and supervise student crews effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Musical Director to design scenic, lighting, audio, and props for the Spring Musical.
• Instruct students on construction, decoration, and operation of lighting/audio.
• Supervise student crews during rehearsals and performances and during strike.
• Coordinate stage management functions for the musical with staff and students.
