Berman Hebrew Academy seeks a Part-Time Technical Director to provide ongoing support for sound, lighting, and projection during regular school-year productions. The role includes supervising student crews, coordinating tech weeks, and mentoring student technicians within the Performing Arts Department.
The incumbent will also handle rental events, with compensation at $50/hour for rentals and outside events, while maintaining technical inventories and ensuring safe, high-quality performances.
The Part-Time Technical Director will serve on a fixed stipend basis for regularly scheduled duties performed during the academic year.
Annual Stipend: $4,500
Regular Schedule:
In addition to the regular schedule, the Technical Director will be expected to support three designated production tech weeks:
During these tech weeks, responsibilities will include technical rehearsals, production preparation, cue programming, equipment setup, student crew supervision, performance support, and strike as needed to ensure the successful execution of performances.

In addition to the annual stipend, the Technical Director will be compensated for work associated with outside rentals, community events, and special programs occurring outside of the regular weekly schedule.
Rental/Event Rate: $50 per hour
