Job summary

Shakopee Public Schools is seeking a 0.33 FTE Music Production teacher for the 2026-27 school year at Shakopee High School. The role covers Music Production 1 & 2, introducing students to creating, writing, and recording music, with a focus on the roots of popular music and basic theory.

The position supports post-secondary planning and aims to engage students through differentiated instruction, collaboration with staff, and ongoing communication with families.

Qualifications

• Valid MN teaching license in Music, Classroom Music, Vocal and Classroom Music or Band.
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
