Job summary

Sapulpa High School in Sapulpa, OK is seeking a JH/HS Special Education Mild/Moderate Teacher to join the district’s self-contained program. Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree Required.
• Oklahoma Teaching Certification in Mild/Moderate or Severe/Profound Special Education and Elementary Education.

Responsibilities

• Teaches core curriculum to students in the classroom, using standards adopted by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and Sapulpa's Board of Education and any other appropriate learning activities as supported by the district/site administration.
• Actively participates in integrating technology resources into the curriculum for student learning.
• Develops and implements IEPs by maintaining a compliance rating of 100% consistent with district requirements.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to provide individualized and small group instruction in accordance with student goals and objectives as outlined in the IEP.
• Participates in transition planning and preparation for adult life experiences.
• Work should be cooperative and collaborative with others; demonstrate self-discipline and initiative, follow state and district guidelines.
