The Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science (Mass Academy) is seeking a Mathematics Teacher. This position involves daily interaction with faculty and direct student instruction. It offers the opportunity to work collaboratively in an advanced secondary school setting emphasizing project-based, interdisciplinary learning.
This is a temporary, one-year employment opportunity.
Additional responsibilities include offering extracurricular courses, advising students on college essays and resumes, collaborating with community partners, and showcasing student work.
Bachelor's degree required; master's or higher preferred. Massachusetts DESE licensure or ability to meet licensure requirements is required.
Qualified candidates should have a strong mathematics teaching background and demonstrate a passion for culturally responsive teaching. Collaboration skills are essential.
Experience with high school students and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds is preferred. Candidates should embody Mass Academy's mission and values.
