Boyne City High School seeks a dedicated and passionate High School Mathematics Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will report directly to the High School Principal and contribute to a collaborative and student-focused learning environment.

HIGH SCHOOL MATHEMATICS TEACHER

The successful candidate will report directly to the High School Principal and contribute to a collaborative and student-focused learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, research-based mathematics instruction aligned with Michigan K-12 Curriculum Framework, Benchmarks, and Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCEs)
• Implement effective classroom management strategies that foster high levels of student engagement and a positive, productive learning atmosphere.
• Differentiate instruction to address all students' diverse needs and ability levels within a single classroom, promoting equitable access to learning.
• Seamlessly integrate technology, including 1:1 student devices, into daily lessons to enhance learning experiences and outcomes.
• Actively collaborate with colleagues to achieve individual classroom, building, and district-wide educational goals.
• Contribute positively to the broader school community, potentially through coaching, advising, or supporting extracurricular activities.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Secondary Mathematics content, processes, and skills, emphasizing critical inquiry and problem-solving.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Required:
• An active Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Secondary Mathematics (EX) endorsement.
• Demonstrated experience and a proven track record of success working with adolescent-aged students.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• A strong team player with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to contribute to a collaborative professional learning community.
  

Terms of Employment: This is a full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year. The current union contract governs employment terms and conditions.
