Job summary

Somerset Learning Center LLC in Raritan, NJ, seeks a knowledgeable and reliable High School Math Teacher/Tutor to join our team. This full-time position can support tutoring during the summer and after school hours, and may suit a retired teacher who wants to contribute a few hours per week.

You will reinforce Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus concepts, help students prepare for SAT math sections, and foster a patient, engaging learning environment that builds confidence in math ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.
• 2+ years' experience teaching or tutoring high school math.
• Strong content knowledge in Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus; clear explanations and patient teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual instruction to reinforce concepts in Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus
• Prepare students for math sections of standardized tests such as the SAT (we will train)
• Create an encouraging and engaging learning atmosphere
