Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-home tutoring company dedicated to igniting the love of learning and helping students reach their potential. We seek certified teachers or those pursuing certification to teach high school mathematics, accounting, and statistics in a personalized, engaging way.

As a Prep Academy Tutor, you will empower students with NCCSS-aligned support, create customized plans, and offer remedial and enrichment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current, valid North Carolina Professional Educator's License (or in progress).
• Qualified teacher in the United States (or in the process of becoming one).
• Current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education or approved educator preparation program.
• Experience as lecturer or course instructor at a US/Canadian university is a plus.
• Knowledge of high school mathematics, Accounting and Statistics.
• AP/IB experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Empower students with academic support based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
• Develop customized learning plans to promote true understanding, not just memorization.
• Offer remedial and enrichment opportunities to challenge or support students as needed.
• Collaborate with parents to communicate progress, struggles, and successes.
