Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center in Bend, OR is seeking a part-time teacher to support high school math students with Sylvan curriculum. You’ll teach, motivate, and develop rapport in a structured, safe learning environment, with paid training provided.

Ideal candidates have prior experience with students in academic settings, can commit 2–4 days per week (2–6 hours per shift), and can pass a background check. We offer 8–16 hours weekly, 20–25 USD/hour, and benefits.

• Reliable transportation.
• Teaching license a plus.
• Comfortable teaching through calculus.

Responsibilities

As a Sylvan Teacher, you will:

• Teach, motivate, and encourage students during instructional hour on Sylvan curriculum (paid training provided)

• Use technology to enhance the learning environment
• Record daily student lessons and communicate regularly with admin staff

Requirements:

• Prior experience working with students in an academic setting
• Available 2-4 days per week for a 2-6 hours shift (additional hours available for qualified candidate)
• Able to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation
• Teaching license a plus
• Comfortable teaching through calculus.
