Job Opening: High School Mathematics Teacher

We are expanding! We seek passionate teachers for all high school grades (9-12) for both existing and new schools. Our teachers are leaders who inspire students, collaborate with families, and engage with the community.

Role Overview:

We are looking for motivated educators with a proven record of developing future leaders. You should be passionate about education, committed to building strong relationships, and dedicated to student success. Expertise in Algebra II and Geometry is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and adapt lesson plans aligned with the curriculum, collaborating with grade-level teams.
  2. Utilize data to tailor instruction and ensure mastery of skills.
  3. Work closely with students, families, and colleagues to foster a supportive environment.
  4. Maintain classroom discipline and effective management techniques.
  5. Assist with diagnostic and progress monitoring assessments.
  6. Track and analyze student progress, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
  7. Update performance data and use it to inform instruction.
  8. Participate in meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

  • Belief in each student’s potential.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; official transcripts required prior to employment.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (post-2016 graduates) or 2.75 (pre-2016 graduates).
  • State teaching certification completed or in progress.
  • Subject matter expertise in mathematics.
  • At least two years of teaching experience, with a focus on diverse student populations.
  • Successful classroom teaching record.
  • Collaborative attitude towards teaching and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional student achievement records, especially in high-performing charter organizations.
  • Strong belief in educational reform and providing a world-class education for all students.

Compensation & Benefits:

Offers a competitive salary range of $65,000-$103,000+, with additional performance-based pay up to $7,000 annually. Benefits include health care, retirement, a subsidized wireless plan, a school laptop, and transportation support for those commuting from NYC. Salaries are based on experience and certification.
