Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools in Carrboro, NC is seeking a Math Teacher available January 25, 2027. The position requires a valid license (or eligibility) to teach 9-12 mathematics and designation as Highly Qualified in high school math. Prior high school math teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible to be licensed in 9-12 mathematics.
• Must be designated as Highly Qualified in high school math.
• Previous experience teaching high school math is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for high school math.
• Maintains standards of student behavior to support a conducive learning environment.
• Evaluates pupil progress and prepares progress reports.
• Communicates with parents about student progress.
• Collaborates with colleagues to promote an optimal learning environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
