Job summary

Success Academy Charter Schools in New York City is hiring for the 2026-27 school year. We seek passionate teachers to join our high-performing K-12 network and inspire students from low-income neighborhoods towards college readiness.

Teaching certification not required; extensive training and a proven curriculum help you focus on students. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and strong communication skills with in-person work in NYC.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree before your first day of work with Success Academy (a background in education is not required).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for learning and commitment to student development.
• Ability to work in person in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Study and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral issues.
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to support student success.
• Engage in professional development opportunities with school leaders to benefit from targeted feedback and coaching to improve performance.
• Grow as a leader with pathways to leadership roles within classroom and network.
