As part of JRLA, you will engage scholars, communicate with families, and contribute to a model designed to elevate achievement for historically underserved students. A bachelor’s in math and teaching credential are required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; a Master’s is preferred.
• Valid Michigan teaching certification.
• High school teaching experience is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Teach Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics for grades 9–12.
• Assess progress and provide feedback to guide improvement.
• Use diverse teaching methods and technology to cater to learning styles.
• Foster an inclusive classroom and engage families and scholars.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students.
• Stay current with math education trends and participate in PD.
