Job summary

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools are seeking a high school teacher for an end-of-year position with an immediate start through June 11, 2027, in a certified 10-month, full-time role.

The teacher will develop and deliver instruction, assess student progress, and collaborate with administrators, parents, and PLCs to meet student needs in alignment with state standards and district policies.

Qualifications

• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligibility in assigned area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
• Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to assess students’ progress.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and resolve challenges.
• Attend PLCs and staff meetings for data analysis and instructional planning.
• Maintain accurate records per IEPs and 504 Plans.
