About The Team

For this High School Math Teacher position, you’ll be working at one of our two high schools in Philadelphia. Philadelphia Magazine recently named Freire Charter High School (#18) and TECH Freire Charter High School (#26) among the top high schools in Philadelphia. What You’ll Do

As a member of Freire’s instructional team, you’ll work with a high-quality, standards-aligned curriculum to foster critical thinking and high achievement in your classroom.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a classroom culture of critical thinking, rigorous learning, respect, and high achievement for all students.
• Leverage content-specific curriculum and create learning materials to promote critical thinking and problem solving.
• Establish consistent communication with families regarding student progress and school-related information.
• Participate actively in professional development and collaborate with staff to support student needs.
• Teachers at Freire Charter High School (20th & Chestnut St.) have the opportunity to be CREW Leaders, co-leading classes focusing on SEL and community building twice a week.
