Position Overview:

DCI is hiring a full-time High School Math Teacher. This teaching position entails instructional and planning responsibilities for providing IB HS Math education to students at DCI during the school year.

Salary Range:

$63,113 - $105,575 (Starting salary is determined by education and years of relevant experience)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A Master's Degree in secondary education or this content area is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching in this content area is strongly preferred.
• Ability to use multiple technology platforms to guide instruction and communicate with students and families; proficiency with G-Suite tools, including Gmail, is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Clear a background check.

Key Qualities & Skills:

• Deliver exceptional Math instruction to diverse learners.
• Experience teaching grades 9 - 12
• Experience teaching IB Integrated Math I or II, IB Math SL/Higher Level, AP Calculus, or similar upper-level math courses.
• Plan lessons aligned with the IB HS Math curriculum framework.
• Deliver culturally responsive Math instruction using immersion methods.
• Advise students and support the school's instructional program.
• Manage the classroom environment proactively to maximize engagement and learning.
• Accept and implement feedback for improvement.
• Engage in IB MYP/DP and language immersion programs.
• Participate in professional development and collaborate with staff.
• Communicate effectively with parents and students.
• Participate in cultural activities related to French, Spanish, and Chinese cultures.
• Implement the 1:1 Chromebook program effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
