Qualifications

• Ability to write and read reports and effectively communicate in written and oral form.
• Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from students, parents, staff, and community.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and manage time and responsibilities.
• Maintain confidentiality of employment and student matters.
• Must have valid Montana teaching certificate prior to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plans and develops course of study following district and state requirements.
• Provides instruction and learning activities to teach skills for specific grade levels.
• Develops and presents lesson plans using various methods and resources.
• Prepares, administers, monitors, and grades assignments and tests.
• Maintains classroom behavior standards and discipline policies.
• Evaluates student progress and participates in parent conferences and meetings.
• Develops tests, grades, and discusses student progress with families.
• Maintains student progress and attendance records.
• Coordinates with professionals and participates in district committees and IEP meetings.
• Reports cases of suspected child abuse and complies with policies.
