Job summary

Qualifications

  • Teaching experience and a bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field are preferred.
  • Experience as a learning specialist in a high school is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for coordinating with families, teachers, and specialists.
  • Cultural competence and dedication to equity and inclusion are important.

Responsibilities

  • Review psycho-educational evaluations to develop Individual Accommodations Plans.
  • Conduct 1:1 check-ins to monitor academic progress and prioritize assignments.
  • Schedule and proctor assessments for extended time eligibility.
  • Liaise between parents, students, and teachers to ensure accommodations are followed.
  • Maintain confidential records of students with learning challenges.
  • Act as the SSD Coordinator between the school and CollegeBoard.
  • Lead professional development for teachers to support student learning.
