Job summary

Dublin City Schools seeks a dedicated JROTC Instructor at Dublin High School to lead the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps. The role focuses on delivering leadership development, citizenship, and military-based education while ensuring compliance with service branch and district regulations.

The instructor will guide cadets in physical fitness, drill, and community service, coordinating activities and maintaining equipment and records.

Qualifications

Retired or former commissioned or non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard with JROTC certification.
Minimum education: high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor high school students.
Strong communication and organizational skills; background check required.

Responsibilities

Deliver JROTC instruction in leadership, citizenship, military history, and related topics.
Supervise and mentor cadets in leadership development and personal growth.
Organize drill competitions, PT, community service, and events.
Ensure program compliance and accurate reporting.
Coordinate with students, families, staff, and community partners.
Maintain discipline and standard of conduct within the JROTC unit.
Oversee equipment, uniforms, inventory, and maintenance.
Support advisor role and career exploration opportunities.
