Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for Cornerstone Academy - High School in Westerville, Ohio. You will support students with IEP goals, collaborate with teachers, and conduct assessments to guide instruction.

In this role, you will implement behavior plans, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate with families about student progress while promoting inclusive practices and high expectations for all students.

Qualifications

• State teaching license is required and valid.
• Experience in inclusive/co-teaching models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and behavioral goals for all students, focusing on IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and support intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and growth.
• Participate in planning of non-instructional activities and events.
