Job summary

Hatzel & Buehler Inc. Cleveland Office is offering a Part-Time Student Intern position (minimum 2 days per week, 3-4 hours per day) with start in Spring 2027.

Interns will explore multiple fields within the electrical construction industry, gaining hands-on experience and professional development in a safe working environment. Live opportunities include accounting, estimating, safety, warehouse/prefabrication, and VDC/BIM.

Qualifications

• Pursuing studies in accounting, estimating, safety, or related fields.
• Interest in warehouse/prefabrication and VDC/BIM is a plus.
• Availability to commit minimum 2 days per week and 3-4 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Assist across departments to gain industry exposure.
• Shadow professionals in electrical construction environments.
• Support tasks in accounting, estimating, safety, and logistics as assigned.

Program Background

In 2019, Hatzel & Buehler, Inc., Bluestone Communications, and Blue Sky Controls developed an internship program to expose high school and college students to multiple career opportunities in the electrical construction industry. Since implementation, students have excelled in professional development, socialization, and team-building experiences. Students who completed the Corporate Internship Program have been accepted into local IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) apprenticeship training programs, 2-4-year colleges, as well as secured full-time employment.

Position: Part-Time Student Intern, minimum 2 days per week, 3-4 hours per day

Location: Hatzel & Buehler Cleveland Office: 1200 Resource Dr. Suite 10, Cleveland, Ohio 44131.

Start Date: Spring 2027

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Student interns will explore careers in a variety of fields, as well as gain valuable, direct experience from an industry professional in a safe, working environment. Fields of study, and the time spent in each, may vary depending on student interests and/or business needs:
