Job summary

East Side Union High School District seeks an instrumental music coach to support in-class instruction during the regular school day. The coach will work with a credentialed teacher to support beginner, intermediate, and advanced instrumental music students across multiple sites.

The role involves preparation, instruction, and collaboration with the Instrumental directors to align with district goals and foster a culturally responsive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in instrument-specific pedagogy (winds, percussion, guitar, piano, strings, etc.), rehearsal planning and implementation.
• Experience teaching high school-aged students.
• Experience teaching small group and one-on-one instruction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Instrumental director(s) to align with the program's goals.
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to enhance students' technical proficiency.
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to enhance students' musical expression.
• Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
